Best of 2010

2010 was a great year for movies! Better than I thought it would be, in fact! It started out very slow, but soon grew and grew until we began getting Oscar contenders. Filmakers and actors alike have been hard at work on their projects, and it all seems to have payed off. The thing is, some of these were better than others. Let's cut to the chase. My list, in order, follows!


1. 127 Hours


I loved this movie to death. It was just beautifully done. Basically, this is a movie like no other. My favorite of the year.


2. The Social Network


Very well done. I know that the film was not entirely accurate, but that's the beauty of it all!


3.Inception


This is probably the most well made film of the year. Its a concept that shouldn't work, but makes you think for months.


4. Toy Story 3


Best movie from Pixar. It touched me like no other animated movie has done before, bringing me back to my childhood.


5. Shutter Island


I love movies that mess with my mind, and this is no exception. Leo was great in this film, snubbed of course for the Oscars.


6. The Other Guys


I loved it! This film was packed with dry humor, and it kept laughing for months. Have a sense of humor!


7. For Colored Girls


Even for a man like me, this movie blew me away. It proved that if I gave Perry a chance, he'd surprise me.


8. Get Him to the Greek


Just hilarious. Everything that you would want in a Rated R comedy. It'll keep you laughing for a long time!


9. Black Swan 


The acting was phenomenal, and the concept was just unbelievable. I still believe that I was able to relate.


10. The Fighter


The film itself was great. Marky Mark is being great again, but the real winner here is Bale, whose acting blew my mind.


11. Rabbit Hole


It took me on an emotional ride down a roller coaster. How I got myself through this film, I don't know.


12. The Kings Speech


The movie itself was great, but the acting is what you should see the movie for. Colin Firth will drop your jaw.


13. Death at a Funeral


Some of the dialogue in this movie is just too funny. Comedy has been great this year!


14. Cyrus


Too funny, just too funny. Some of this movie is just way too awkward to explain. Just go see it, please.


15. True Grit


Even if you don't like westerns, you must see this movie if you like acting. Yes, I'm talking about the little girl.


16. Megamind


I really enjoyed it! The 3D was quite good, and the humor in this movie is just right. It was a great film!


17. Biutiful


A very deep film this was. Something that I won't soon forget. Javier Bardem was extraordinary, as always.


18. How to Train Your Dragon


It's not too much of a comedy, but I really liked it. The 3D was just awesome, and the story was top notch.


19. The Town


I liked it a lot. I liked the The Departed, so I checked this out, and I was not disappointed when I left the theatre.


20. TRON: Legacy


Before I get started on the effects, this was a pretty solid movie! Now for the effects, they were pretty nice!
